About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Voyage Care Ltd. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a vital role in leading our residential service in Taunton, providing day-to-day support to individuals with complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the day-to-day operations of the service, ensuring the highest standards of care and support are maintained.
  • Allocate shifts, book training, and induct new colleagues to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Support the Manager with supervisions, ordering medication, and ensuring individuals are supported to manage their finances.
  • Work closely with the Manager to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure the service is running efficiently and effectively.
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Senior Support Worker and a Level 3 in Health & Social Care.
  • Experience working with individuals with autism, acquired brain injury, complex mental health needs, traumatic backgrounds, and challenging behaviors.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, individuals, and their families.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the service.
