About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Psychologist to lead our Children's Eating Disorder Service (CEDS) at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a highly skilled professional to make a significant impact on the lives of young people and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to a team of psychologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, psychologically informed care to children and young people with eating disorders.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans, including individual and group therapy, to address the complex needs of service users.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including social workers, nurses, and doctors, to ensure comprehensive care and support for service users and their families.
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions and planning meetings to ensure effective care coordination and service delivery.
Requirements
  • Doctoral Clinical Psychology qualification or equivalent, as accredited by the British Psychology Society (BPS).
  • Eligible for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status.
  • Registration with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
  • Experience of working with clients with complex presentations within CAMHS or similar services.
  • Experience of teaching, training, and/or professional and clinical supervision.
  • Experience of supporting junior qualified and non-qualified staff members.
