Regional Operations Manager

At Centaur Services, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Team Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of our transport operation in the UK, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the effective and compliant running of the UK transport operation, including managing day-to-day operational activity to meet customer and cost demands.
- Ensure SLAs and KPIs are met and/or exceeded, and hold an international or national CPC and be named on the relevant O license.
- Lead a team of transport department members, motivating and developing individuals to work to the highest professional standards.
- Make sound judgment calls and implement continuous improvement initiatives in a controlled, measured, and clearly communicated way.
- Collaborate with the Warehousing team members, including distribution center managers, to ensure seamless operations.
- Oversee the complete employee lifecycle for team members, including performance management, talent development, and succession planning.
- Manage depot costs, ensure compliance with O Licence requirements, and audit fleet files on a regular basis.
- Ensure all legal compliance requirements for vehicles are met, and form a strong link with local maintenance providers to minimize hire requirements.
- Ensure full compliance from all team members, from good distribution practice to health and safety.
- Transport Manager CPC holder (essential)
- Regular travel to other sites owned or associated with MWI as required
- A people person – a desire to grow and develop individuals
- Organized and structured in their work
- Good time management skills
- Good attention to detail
- Knowledge of driver's hours and of maintenance compliance
- Proficient with MS packages
- A person who develops great relationships, fosters collaboration with other functions & departments, at all levels
