**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to lead our warehouse team and ensure the efficient operation of our logistics operations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of managing warehouse operations, improving efficiency, and reducing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- **Warehouse Operations:** Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with a focus on customer satisfaction, productivity targets, and order fulfillment.
- **Workload Planning:** Manage workload planning, including day-to-day operations, events, offers, and seasonal variations.
- **Standard Operating Procedures:** Document and review standard operating procedures to ensure daily compliance with food safety regulations.
- **Continuous Improvement:** Adopt a continuous improvement approach to warehouse operations and systems, optimizing requirements, equipment utilization, inventory, goods in procedures, and IT-related processes.
- **Team Management:** Train and manage the warehouse team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- **Loss Prevention:** Minimize loss through accurate goods in and put away processes, pick accuracy, daily perpetual inventory checks, and a complete monthly stock.
- **Reporting and Analysis:** Generate reports and analyze them to determine trends and areas for improvement.
- **Safety and Health:** Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures, and complying with legal regulations.
- **HR Administration:** Administer HR-related activities, including rota planning, absence administration, timesheet sign-off, and purchase orders.
- **Operational Support:** Provide operational support activities, including risk assessments, SOPs management, security, waste management and recycling, cleaning, property maintenance, equipment and consumables.
- **Performance Assessment:** Provide means for continuous professional training and performance assessment of the team members through an effective performance assessment framework using objective setting and regular review.
- **Delegation:** Support the Head of Logistics and deputize for them in times of absence.
Requirements:
- **Experience:** Experience in logistics operations management, scaling up operational output capacity and efficiency, and successful implementation and management of warehouse and procurement software systems.
- **Confidence:** High confidence in working with complex processes, streamlining and automating for efficiency improvement and cost minimization.
- **Attention to Detail:** Attention to detail and ability to communicate with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
- **FLT Experience:** FLT experience and Microsoft Office knowledge.
