Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Storage Administrator to join our growing IT team. As a Lead Storage Administrator, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex storage solutions, performing cost analyses and vendor comparisons, and providing 24x7 on-call support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Develop Storage Solutions: Design and develop complex, integrated storage solutions that meet the business needs of our clients.
  • Cost Analysis and Vendor Comparison: Perform cost analyses and vendor comparisons to ensure that our clients receive the best value for their storage solutions.
  • On-Call Support: Provide 24x7 on-call support to ensure that our clients' storage systems are running smoothly and efficiently.
  • Technical Expertise: Develop and maintain technical subject matter expertise on established and emerging storage systems and technologies.
  • Communication: Communicate system operations and environment changes to stakeholders.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to SOX, PCI, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Capacity Planning: Understand and avoid capacity, redundancy, and health constraints of storage systems.
  • Automated Storage Device Management: Understand and configure automated storage device management systems.
  • Security: Ensure that all security requirements are met.
  • Technical Input: Provide technical input to solution development plans and concept documents.
  • Business Impact: Demonstrate understanding of business impacts of issues and how they relate to IT-owned solutions.
  • Research and Development: Research new technologies and propose cost-effective solutions.
  • Project Management: Plan and manage technical projects involving other teams.

Requirements:

We are looking for a Lead Storage Administrator with advanced knowledge of EMC VPLEX, POWERMAX storage platforms, NAS, and experience in providing technical expertise and analysis on business storage environments.
