Process Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Development Technologist to join our team at Greencore Group Ltd. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a critical role in delivering process development and line trials to meet customer requirements and drive process improvements.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical expertise to support the creation of customer and factory specifications, ensuring accurate and compliant product labeling information.
- Plan, prepare, and execute process development and line trials to deliver customer requirements and process enhancements.
- Offer process guidance and advice to cross-functional manufacturing teams to promote adoption of new practices and processes for increased efficiency.
- Monitor and communicate process trends to ensure launch date adherence, maximum process optimization, and effective communication to customers.
- Identify and investigate potential continuous improvement projects, facilitating relevant trials to drive process and product enhancements.
- Ensure all line trials are fully documented, adhering to food safety, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Assess equipment capability to ensure process standards align with company and customer requirements, driving improvements.
- Maintain a safe working environment for colleagues, ensuring the department meets the standards set out in the Health, Safety, and Environment Policy.
- Education to degree level in a food science or related subject, plus relevant working experience within a food manufacturing environment.
- Relevant qualifications, such as Level 3 Food Hygiene, Level 2 Health and Safety, HACCP Level 2, Sensory Training Level 2, and Microbiological Training Level 2.
- Experience in evaluation and interpretation of shelf-life results, interpretation of customer codes of practice, and working with different computer programs.
- Knowledge of legal labeling legislation and various retailer web-based systems is desirable.
- Demonstrable understanding of technology relevant to the business area and area of responsibility, as well as technical key performance indicators.
