Join Our Team as a Geophysical Equipment Technician

At Gardline, we are seeking a dedicated Geophysical Equipment Technician to become a vital part of our dynamic Geophysical Engineering Workshop Team. In this role, you will take charge of the mechanical upkeep, assembly, calibration, and repair of various geophysical instruments and equipment.

This position is hands-on and leans towards mechanical expertise, while also encompassing the testing and calibration of electronic devices.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular inspections of geophysical instruments to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, refurbishing, and replacing worn components, as well as diagnosing and rectifying equipment malfunctions.
  • Calibrate geophysical instruments to guarantee accurate measurements, maintaining detailed records of all maintenance, repairs, and calibrations.
  • Operate forklift trucks and manage the organization of the warehouse and yard.
  • Assist in the mobilization of vessels from the base.
  • Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment in the workshop.

Your Qualifications:
To excel as a Geophysical Equipment Technician, you should possess:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a technical or maintenance role.
  • Preferably, some knowledge of mechanical and electrical/electronic systems.
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
