About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at The Sheffield College. As a key member of our Additional Learning Support Team, you will play a vital role in ensuring that all students have access to quality education and are able to reach their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Support students with a wide range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those with SEND and adult provisions.
  • Work closely with learners to be fully engaged in the college community and provide personalized support to help them achieve their goals.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to become an integral part of the Additional Learning Support Team and contribute to the development of innovative support strategies.
  • Potentially provide intimate support and personal care for high-needs students to ensure their safeguarding and well-being.

**Skills and Knowledge:**

  • Ability to support students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities, including those with SEND and adult provisions.
  • Passionate and compassionate approach, with a willingness to bring fresh ideas to the table and contribute to the continuous improvement of our support services.
  • Positive 'can do' attitude and a learner-focused approach, with knowledge and understanding of equality and diversity.
