Job Description

Job Title: PMLD Learning Support Assistant

Job Type: Temporary

Location: Remote ( flexible location)

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with our experienced teachers and SENCOs to provide individualized support to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students with PMLD, promoting their social, emotional, and educational development.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers and SENCOs to devise and deliver person-centered learning and care plans.
  • Monitor and record student progress, reporting to the school's SEN team and meeting targets.
  • Build strong relationships with students, fostering a nurturing environment that encourages effective learning and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with students with SEND, preferably in a PMLD setting.
  • Qualification in Team Teach (desirable but not essential).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team and have a resilient mindset.
  • Compassion, patience, and confidence when working with students with SEND.
