We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Psychology/Sociology Graduate Teaching Assistant to support students with a range of abilities and needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), and Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD).
Key Responsibilities:- Provide individualized support to students with SEND in Psychology and Sociology subjects, adapting teaching materials and strategies to meet their unique needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to create an inclusive learning environment, promoting student progress and development.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, ensuring their educational and personal goals are met.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing regular feedback and support to ensure students receive the best possible education.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology, Sociology, or a related field, with a strong understanding of SEND principles and practices.
- Experience or knowledge in working with students with ASC, PMLD, and SLD, or a willingness to learn and upskill in this area.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Strong patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting students with diverse needs.
