Position Overview:
Join our Finance division in this pivotal role as a Senior Financial Compliance Officer.

Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate and facilitate the external audit process for the organization, ensuring that all audit requirements are met and that the statutory accounts are prepared in accordance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Financial Compliance Officer, you will oversee tax compliance for the organization, which includes VAT and corporate taxes, as well as managing other external compliance submissions and financial risk assessments.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess ACCA/ACA/CIMA qualifications or equivalent experience. In recognition of your expertise and commitment, we offer a competitive salary range of £44,000 - £52,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes:

Work Environment:
This position allows for remote working, with occasional travel required to the head office.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Friday: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Core Duties:
In this role, you will serve as the primary liaison with external auditors, managing the planning and execution of audit requirements within established timelines.

  • Ensure a thorough understanding and correct application of relevant financial reporting standards.
  • Prepare annual statutory accounts for the organization, overseeing and verifying content prepared by external auditors.
  • Manage consolidated working papers, including those related to business acquisitions, disposals, and goodwill.
  • Maintain and update group accounting policy documentation.
  • Oversee the collection and submission of third-party returns, ensuring timely submission of Open Book Accounting Returns.
  • Regularly review and update the group financial risks register.
  • Possess a solid understanding of UK corporation tax regulations and experience in addressing corporation tax inquiries from external tax accountants.
  • Demonstrate strong financial accounting skills and advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Excel.
  • Collaborate effectively with both finance and non-finance colleagues, both internally and externally.
