Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team at Ringway Jacobs. As a Compliance Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our highway management services meet the highest standards of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the delivery of our Network Management Duty, ensuring that our highway services are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the operation of our Permit Scheme, ensuring that all necessary permits and approvals are obtained in accordance with relevant legislation and guidance.
  • Work closely with our Senior Compliance Officer and other Senior Managers to ensure that our highway services meet all relevant standards and policies.
  • Review and process incoming skips and scaffolding applications, ensuring that all necessary paperwork and permissions are in place.
  • Monitor and report on performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Provide detailed feedback to Senior Compliance Officer and other Senior Managers to target training needs.
  • Assist with the use of systems and data for collating and reporting relevant performance and management information.
  • Have a working knowledge of all Streetworks processes, including Permits, TTROs, Minor Undertaker, S50, Finance, Failed Reinstatements, Samples, Section 74, and ensure correct implementation.
  • Support the Senior Compliance Officer in evaluating prospective impact on local network and any mitigation that will be taken to avoid disruption.
  • Respond to enquiries and complaints from members of the public, elected members, officers, and external agencies in relation to the service.
  • Provide advice, guidance, and information to stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Attend meetings related to your area of responsibility and present information as required.

  • Ability to follow clearly defined processes and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work well and cooperate as a member of a team, displaying good levels of self-control.
  • Ability to communicate logically and objectively with a range of different stakeholders.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain effective internal and external working relationships.
