Financial Accounts Manager

Roshal Space Consultants LTD is a family-owned commercial interior design company, founded in 1990 and based in the UK. We have grown to approximately 40 employees and partner with clients mainly in the midlands, including blue-chip companies in both the public and private sector.

We are looking for a Financial Accounts Manager to manage the company's financial operations. Responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll, and improving procedures and controls.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Lead the analysis of monthly and quarterly numbers and present findings to the CEO and the board.
  • Work with project managers for budgeting and forecasting.
  • Sales Ledger management: process sales invoices and applications, chase aged debtors, and manage the retention applications process.
  • Purchase Ledger management: manage the sales invoices process by entering into SimPRO and transferring to Xero.
  • Full ownership of payroll and timesheets.
  • Complete control of balance sheet accounts, including preparation and review of reconciliations, identifying risks/opportunities, and communicating to senior management.
  • Review and monitor subcontractor compliance with legal documentation and insurances.
Payroll Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team responsible for payroll, VAT, and HMRC processes.
  • Make payroll adjustments and calculate bonuses, mileage, and expenses.
  • End-to-end processing of payroll through SimPRO scheduling, approval of timesheets, and exporting to Xero for timely pay runs.
  • Handle payroll queries.
  • Process pension payments through NEST.
Requirements:
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge.
  • Excel and modeling skills.
  • Experience in creating statutory accounts.
  • Experience in accounts payable and receivable.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
  • Xero experience preferred; other accounting software experience beneficial.
