Oncology Nurse Position Overview:

As an Oncology Nurse at HG Group, you will play a crucial role in delivering empathetic care and specialized treatment to individuals receiving chemotherapy. Your primary responsibilities will encompass the safe administration of chemotherapy medications, vigilant monitoring of patients for adverse reactions, and providing emotional and psychological support throughout their treatment journey.

Essential Qualifications and Skills:

  • Registered with the NMC as a Registered General Nurse.
  • At least 6 months of experience in oncology nursing within the past 2 years.
  • Completion of a specialist course in oncology nursing.
  • Certification in chemotherapy administration or an equivalent qualification.
  • Strong clinical skills and a solid foundation in evidence-based nursing practices.
  • Proficient communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Dedication to delivering patient-centered care.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance or readiness to undergo a background check.
  • Completion of mandatory training relevant to the nursing role.

Job Types Available: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

Contract Duration: 6 months

Compensation: £25.00-£32.00 per hour

Expected Working Hours: 8 – 40 hours per week

Shift Schedule:

  • Options for 10, 12, and 8-hour shifts.
  • Availability for Day, Night, and Weekend shifts.

  • Do you possess 6 months of NHS experience as an Oncology Nurse?

Licenses/Certifications Required:

  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • NMC Pin.
