Job Summary

The NDT Coordinator will lead the delivery of inspections, NDT coordination, and reviews of UK Fabrication to ensure high levels of performance and minimal non-conformances.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review Quality Plans, FUD's, Inspection and Test Plans, and supporting QA & NDT documentation to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Provide quality-related technical support for projects and maintenance activities, ensuring that all quality requirements are met.
  • Review vendor/supplier Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans to ensure that they meet the company's quality standards.
  • Liaise with Welding Inspectors and Project Leads to ensure that all quality documentation and QA requirements are met.
  • Liaise with 3rd party inspectors and coordinate the Inspection function to ensure that all inspections are conducted in accordance with industry standards.
  • Coordinate and advise on material certification, welding, NDT, and other quality requirements to ensure that all products meet the company's quality standards.
  • Carry out inspections and examinations to deliver quality auditing and control of activities, ensuring that all non-conformances are reported and addressed.
  • Report inspection findings and non-conformances in line with project plans and reporting requirements.
  • Raise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) as appropriate and liaise with Client's QA departments to ensure that all quality improvements are implemented.
  • Ensure that all quality documentation/records are maintained within the Company's Combined Management System (CMS).
  • Ensure that quality performance monitoring is maintained and reviewed accordingly against KPIs.
  • Contribute to the improvement and technical capabilities of the Company.
  • Support existing, strong workshop HSE Culture.

Requirements

  • Good Engineering and QA/QC background.
  • Knowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems.
  • Development of project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs, etc.) and review of supplier QA documentation.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoring techniques.
  • Able to read and understand isometric drawings.
  • Understanding of and familiarity with pipe standards and specifications.
  • Radiographic interpretation.
  • Computer literate; knowledge of Microsoft Office suite essential.
  • Understanding of fabrication, welding, and NDT techniques.
  • Good communication and report writing skills.

Qualifications

  • CSWIP Level 3.2 Senior Welding Inspector.
  • PCN level 2 – Radiographic Interpretation.
  • Recognised Internal Auditor qualification.
  • ONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering/BTEC/City & Guilds or equivalent experience.
  • Member of Chartered Quality Institute (Desirable).
