Clinical Coordinator

About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and communicative Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a key member of our General Surgery department, you will be responsible for coordinating patient appointments, ensuring accurate recording of clinical activity, and providing exceptional support to our clinical teams.
Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate outpatient clinics, ensuring efficient time management and effective communication with Consultants and Administration & Clinical Management teams.
- Ensure all relevant databases and patient information systems are up-to-date, accurate, and secure.
- Prepare case note folders, complete necessary documentation, and ensure patient details are correctly recorded.
- Manage correspondence and documentation, filing and cross-referencing as necessary.
- Provide administrative support, including photocopying, filing, and other office routines.
- Liaise with Trust departments, GPs, and healthcare agencies as required.
- Assist colleagues and provide cross-cover within the administration team during absence.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work accurately and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Experience of working in an administration-based role, preferably within the NHS.
- GCSE level or equivalent education.
