We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Clinical Coordinator to join our team at Northampton General Hospital. As a Clinical Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our outpatient clinics, providing administrative support to our Senior Team Leader and Administration Manager.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate and book all respiratory outpatient clinics, working closely with consultants, nurses, and administration staff.
- Manage multiple clinicians' waiting lists and ensure appointments are booked within the Access Policy Protocol and RTT directives.
- Review all Choose & Book, Directly Bookable services, and appointments booked by patients online and via GP surgeries.
- Perform daily maintenance of ERS and assist with the coordination of clinics or lists to ensure effective time management.
- Provide general administrative services as required by the department.
- Deal with telephone or face-to-face enquiries within agreed limits and take appropriate actions.
- Liaise with other hospital departments, GPs, and other healthcare agencies when required.
- Provide cross-cover within the team during absence and implement relevant organizational changes.
- Minimum 3 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including English.
- Knowledge of a range of administration duties and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Planning and organizational skills to plan straightforward tasks, some ongoing, arranging meetings and diaries.
- Develop attention to details and accuracy.
- Organizational skills and the ability to work methodically and prioritize.
- Experience of working in the NHS.
- Public face-to-face experience.
- Experience of working in a busy office environment.
- Self-motivated.
- Ability to use own initiative.
- Confident to establish and maintain good working relationships at all levels.
- To be able to understand the needs of patients and deal with them with tact and sensitivity.
