About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Programme Lead to join our team at Power2, a fast-growing and energetic youth charity. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing 1:1 mentoring support to young people aged 14-25 involved in group-based serious violent offending, helping them to leave a life of violent crime behind and access positive support and social services to prevent further offending.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with young people, operating as a mentor to empower them to develop self-esteem, become resilient, and engage with their own future.
  • Work collaboratively with young people, giving them the time, confidence, and skills to make positive choices and engage with their future life plans.
  • Recruit and manage a team of mentors to support the delivery of the Another Chance programme.
  • Develop and implement effective mentoring strategies to support young people in achieving their goals and overcoming challenges.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the mentoring programme, making recommendations for improvement.
Requirements
  • Experience of working with young people aged 14-25 at risk of criminal involvement and exploitation, and their families.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with young people and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to meet the needs of the programme.
  • Knowledge of the issues affecting young people in Greater Manchester and the ability to develop effective solutions to address these challenges.
