About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Housekeeper to join our team at Alex Wood House Care Home in Cambridge. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and service delivery across the home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the overall responsibility for support services within the home, including laundry and domestic housekeeping.
  • Support the management team in the recruitment, induction, and training of the support service team, ensuring training targets are met and the team is competent in their roles.
  • Manage rotas, budgets, stocks, and reporting duties for the Housekeeping department within the home.
  • Support, lead, manage, and inspire direct reports to deliver outstanding service for the home.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar position, with proven experience successfully managing a team, budgets, and targets.
  • A passion for care - we're looking for a genuinely caring individual who will put the needs of our residents first.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, as well as high attention to detail.
