Role Overview

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Project Manager to become a vital part of our Real Estate Project Management Team in Cambridge. You will collaborate with a dynamic and diverse group, engaging in a wide range of projects across various sectors on a rotational basis. Senior Project Managers are responsible for managing commissions of different scales, values, and complexities, from community-driven initiatives to large-scale international projects.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Senior Project Manager, your duties will include:

  • Overseeing and directing the execution of intricate real estate projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.
  • Serving as the primary day-to-day liaison with clients, guaranteeing that their objectives are fulfilled and that projects are completed within established timeframes and budgetary constraints.
  • Providing strategic advice during the project initiation phase, including recommendations on various methodologies to effectively meet the client's overarching goals.
  • Defining the overall success criteria for each project, encompassing time, cost, technical specifications, and performance metrics.
  • Planning and managing ongoing quality, safety, health, and environmental considerations.
  • Establishing robust project governance, processes, and systems to be utilized throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Developing comprehensive project plans, ensuring the creation of detailed project schedules.
  • Monitoring and implementing performance management strategies, including the application of KPIs to enhance project outcomes.
  • Managing the change control process effectively.
  • Overseeing and advising on project financials.
  • Ensuring the timely production of formal project updates and reports.
  • Leading marketing and business development initiatives, such as: Identifying new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients, recognizing and acting on cross-selling possibilities, collaborating with senior management to prepare bids for new projects, participating in formal client presentations, and seeking opportunities to enhance project management services.

Qualifications:

To excel in this position, you should possess:

  • A degree in a relevant field such as construction, real estate, or project management.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience managing real estate projects, preferably within a consultancy setting.
  • A willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Professional accreditation is preferred, such as RICS, PMI, or CIOB.
