The Role: Residential Childcare Leader

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Residential Childcare Leader to oversee the daily operations of our children's home. As a leader, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and development of the young people in our care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide compassionate and effective leadership to a team of dedicated staff members.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Create a positive and supportive home environment that fosters growth, learning, and self-esteem.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards governing children's homes.
  • Collaborate with families, social workers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support for the young people in our care.
  • Promote a culture of open communication and teamwork within the home.
  • Conduct regular staff supervisions and training to enhance professional development.
  • Manage the daily operations of the home, including budgeting, scheduling, and record-keeping.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a residential childcare setting at a senior level.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development and best practices in caregiving.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to the well-being and empowerment of children.
  • Relevant professional qualifications, such as a Level 4/5 qualification in working with children and young people.
