Position: Autonomous Systems Project Manager

Location: Warton or Samlesbury

Compensation: £61,110 based on qualifications and experience

Role Overview:

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Head of Industrialisation for the Future Combat Aircraft Programmes (FCAP) to drive the FCAP Campaign forward. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and execution of Statements of Work for the Joint Autonomous Collaborative Platform (ACP) initiative and its associated facilities.
  • Engaging with FalconWorks and Digital Intelligence teams to ensure timely delivery of project work packages that meet customer requirements.
  • Overseeing bid and mobilization activities to ensure successful project initiation.
  • Formulating comprehensive solutions that encompass Engineering, Test and Evaluation, and Manufacturing dependencies.
  • Conducting market research to gain insights into the industrial and technological landscape of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
  • Identifying exploitable Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) aligned with BAE Systems' technology development roadmaps.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Proven ability to cultivate and nurture multi-functional relationships across a diverse stakeholder network, while effectively negotiating outcomes in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in collaborating and influencing across organizational boundaries, managing conflicts, and solving complex problems.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior leadership, including BAE Systems Directors.

Desirable:

  • A degree in Engineering or Project Management (PM) or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams in Project Management, Engineering, Commercial, and Procurement.
  • Familiarity with the organizational structure and processes relevant to business or project management.
  • Understanding of BAE Systems' operations within the Middle Eastern context.

About the Industrialisation Team:

This position offers a unique opportunity to engage with a broad spectrum of stakeholders and gain valuable exposure across the organization. You will lead the requirements capture and development of multiple Statements of Work (SoW) for a customer, focusing on the joint development of an Autonomous Collaborative Platform (ACP) and the establishment of supporting facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

In this role, you will manage a small team and collaborate with FalconWorks and Digital Intelligence across various functional disciplines and key suppliers to create the necessary documentation for Industrial Collaboration solutions and proposals that align with the aspirations of the KSA Customer.
