Position: Senior Engineer for Future Combat Air Systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all Technology & Capability requirements are safe, compliant with regulations, cost-effective, efficient, and innovative.
  • Identify new capabilities for personnel, infrastructure, tools, and technology to be integrated into the Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Function.
  • Drive functional change initiatives to align with Future Combat Air System ambitions.
  • Collaborate with various functional teams to ensure that critical Technologies & Capabilities are prioritized in design solutions.
  • Engage with international partners to develop concepts and assess program strategies.
  • Support bid activities in conjunction with partners and assist in technology demonstrations.
  • Contribute to the development of future Maintenance capabilities, particularly in support of the Future Combat Air System.
  • Provide regular updates to the Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness Function.

Required Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A degree in a STEM field or equivalent relevant experience; IENG is desirable, with a focus on achieving CEng.
  • Understanding of Technology and Capability advancements within the Maintenance Environment.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the broader Maintenance and Continuing Airworthiness environment.
  • Experience in building relationships and negotiating with stakeholders.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Demonstrated experience in a professional capacity within the Maintenance & Continuing Airworthiness field.
  • In-depth understanding of project markets, customer needs, strategic priorities, and organizational culture.
