Job Overview

Position: Air Traffic Engineer

Location: On-site at Warton

Compensation: £47,683 – £52,426 (based on qualifications and experience)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting routine inspections to verify the functionality of all systems
  • Notifying Air Traffic Control of any identified issues during inspections
  • Executing fault repairs as necessary
  • Completing regular maintenance tasks
  • Participating in project initiatives as needed
  • Ensuring all relevant documentation is accurately maintained
  • Keeping skills and knowledge current

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Engineering qualifications at HNC level or equivalent
  • Experience with equipment such as Instrument Landing Systems, Distance Measuring Equipment, Primary and Secondary Surveillance Radar, Non-Directional Beacons, Direction Finders, Radio Transmitters and Receivers, and Voice Communication Control Systems
  • Proficiency in fault analysis and repair, along with familiarity with telecommunications testing tools

Desirable:

  • Solid understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, along with expertise in networking and data communications

About the Air Traffic Engineering Team:

Join our innovative team as an Air Traffic Engineer at Warton Aerodrome, where you will play a vital role in supporting the infrastructure for Air Navigation Service Provision. Reporting to the Senior Air Traffic Engineer, you will collaborate with a dedicated team of engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of military and civil aviation activities. Your responsibilities will include maintaining facilities and equipment while ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards.
