Aviation Systems Engineer

Position: Aviation Systems Engineer
Location: On-site
Compensation: £47,683 – £52,426 (based on qualifications and experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting routine inspections to verify the operability of all systems
- Notifying Air Traffic Control of any identified malfunctions during inspections
- Executing necessary fault repairs as required
- Completing regular maintenance tasks
- Participating in project initiatives as needed
- Ensuring all pertinent documentation is accurately filled out
- Maintaining current competency levels
Required Skills and Experience:
Essential:
- Engineering qualifications at HNC level or equivalent
- Experience with equipment such as Instrument Landing Systems, Distance Measuring Equipment, Primary and Secondary Surveillance Radar, Non-Directional Beacons, Direction Finders, Radio Transmitters and Receivers, and Voice Communication Control Systems
- Background in fault investigation and resolution, along with familiarity with telecommunications testing tools
Desirable:
- Proficient understanding of Windows and Linux operating systems, along with knowledge in network and data communications

About the Aviation Systems Engineering Team:
Join our skilled team as an Aviation Systems Engineer, where you will play a vital role in supporting the infrastructure for Air Navigation Service Provision. Reporting to the Senior Aviation Systems Engineer, you will collaborate with a dedicated group of engineers to ensure the safe and efficient operation of both military and civil aviation activities. Your responsibilities will include maintaining facilities and equipment while ensuring compliance with internal, statutory, and regulatory standards.
