Job Title: Facilities Maintenance Officer

At Sterling Pharma Solutions, we are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our facilities, including maintenance scheduling, vendor management, and administration of our maintenance scheduling system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare permit to work (PTW) documents, including vendor insurances, risk assessments, and methods statements.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate service and equipment maintenance schedules.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for visiting vendors, perform site inductions, and complete permits to work in accordance with site EHS guidelines.
  • Cost, quote, and negotiate with vendors, and prepare purchase requisitions.
  • Monitor the department budget, including contract, maintenance, and utilities spending.
  • Provide first-line supervision for cleaning staff, whether contracted or vendor-supplied.
  • Maintain and calibrate work order preparation, and make amendments as required to the works scheduler and tracking software.
  • Produce and amend maintenance tasks, SOPs, and associated supporting documentation in compliance with our current GMP Quality system.
  • Participate in the work safety committee, providing and implementing safety actions.
  • Maintain equipment history using equipment files for recording maintenance, calibrations, and supplier documentation.
  • Prepare monthly KPIs and delegate when required on behalf of the Engineering and Facilities Department at Quality review meetings.
  • Deputise for the Facilities/Engineering Manager as required for purchasing and document approvals.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a highly regulated industry in a similar role is essential.
  • Previous engineering experience with an electrical bias would be highly desirable.
  • Previous GMP experience would be desirable but not essential.
  • Previous experience with CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System), Excel, and Word would be advantageous.
