Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our team at Service Care Solutions - Housing. As a Facilities Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, and painting, to ensure the upkeep of our properties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure the properties are in good condition, including basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, and painting.
  • Move and transfer large and small items between properties as needed, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Support property inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations, including PAT testing.
  • Participate in property improvement and refurbishment works, including assembly of flat-pack furniture and installation of white goods.
  • Assist in the turnaround of properties, including repairs, cleaning, and restocking utilities.
  • Perform grounds maintenance, treat pest infestations, and remove bulky refuse.
  • Occasionally travel to clients' service areas for maintenance tasks, handling emergency repair situations outside of standard office hours.

Requirements:

  • Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent work experience, with a willingness to achieve a Level 3 qualification.
  • Physical strength and dexterity for carrying heavy loads, working at heights, and in awkward spaces.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, decorating, and general maintenance, with a strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
  • Regular travel required, with access to a car and business mileage payable.
