We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Maintenance professional to join our team at Service Care Solutions - Housing. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing general maintenance tasks, including basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, and painting, to ensure our properties are well-maintained and safe for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including repairs, cleaning, and restocking utilities, to ensure properties are in good condition.
- Support property inspections, PAT testing, and compliance with safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Participate in property improvement and refurbishment works, including assembly of flat-pack furniture and installation of white goods.
- Assist in the turnaround of properties, including repairs, cleaning, and restocking utilities, to ensure properties are ready for occupation.
- Perform grounds maintenance, treat pest infestations, and remove bulky refuse to maintain the appearance and safety of our properties.
- Occasionally travel to clients' service areas in Wigan and Cheshire West for maintenance tasks and handle emergency repair situations outside of standard office hours.
- Relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent work experience, with a willingness to achieve a Level 3 qualification.
- Physical strength and dexterity for carrying heavy loads, working at heights, and in awkward spaces.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in basic plumbing, joinery, carpentry, decorating, and general maintenance.
- Understanding of health and safety procedures in an office environment.
- Regular travel required; the role holder must have access to a car, and business mileage is payable from an agreed base.
- This is a permanent, full-time Facilities Maintenance role, 36 hours per week.
