Catering Manager Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Catering Manager to join our team at Holroyd Howe, a leading contract caterer providing fresh and innovative food services to independent schools and colleges.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences, managing the catering budget, and ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and quality control protocols.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our back-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service, maintain high standards of presentation and quality, and drive commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement menus that cater to diverse dietary requirements and preferences
  • Manage the catering budget and ensure cost-effective operations
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and quality control protocols
  • Work closely with the back-of-house team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Drive commercial performance and maintain high standards of presentation and quality
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a General Manager or Deputy General Manager in a high-volume, quality-focused environment
  • Ability to manage, train, and support a team
  • Financially astute and able to create and maintain budgets
  • Excellent coaching, delegation, and influencing skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt to changing circumstances
