Our client is a leading manufacturer and full turn-key supplier of automated solutions for the manufacturing sector, supplying high-precision equipment to a diverse range of markets and industries.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Electronics and Electrical Systems Engineer to join our client's team. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the complete project build and delivery cycle, from in-house build-up to commission and handover at a client's site. This will include setting up full production lines and interconnecting different machines to a high standard, ensuring compliance with all necessary regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Take ownership of debugging and problem-solving for any Electrical, Electronic, or PLC issues during the entire build cycle from initial build to commission and handover.
  2. Debug any software issues identified, primarily focused on PLC programs, HMI's, etc.
  3. Commission, debug, and test PLC/HMI/Safety system control software.
  4. Configure and start-up all devices at the customer site.
  5. Have a good understanding of line power drawings, panel drawing wiring, and fault-finding.
  6. Be able to access and debug PLC controls, computer controls, through I/O.

Ideal Skills and Experience

  1. Proven experience in a similar role in the manufacturing or engineering industry.
  2. Ability to travel as needed.
  3. Excellent Electrical fault-finding skills.
  4. Competent at reading electrical drawings.
  5. Strong IT skills (networking, fault-finding).
  6. Understanding of mechanical systems.
  7. Test and commissioning skills.
  8. Strong understanding of PLC controls.
  9. Ability to use CAD to design electrical circuits.

Ideal Qualifications

  1. HND/HNC/degree in Electronic/Electrical engineering discipline or equivalent.
