Job Title: Proposal Manager

About the Role:

KBR is seeking a highly skilled Proposal Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Proposals Department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality proposal documentation that meets the needs of our clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small to medium-sized proposals, pre-qualifications, executive summaries, knowledge stores, and client presentations.
  • Assist project directors and business development directors on major pursuits.
  • Develop, coordinate, and produce win themes and strategies to differentiate KBR from competitors.
  • Write individual sections of proposals or the whole proposal for smaller projects.
  • Conduct reviews of bids prior to submission to ensure high-quality submissions.
  • Support business development/operations in developing all aspects of the bid.
  • Manage the upkeep and development of knowledge stores, including standard company information, experience lists, executive summaries, and proposals-related information.
  • Drive the bid team to follow processes and carry out due diligence before submitting proposals.
  • Assist in developing client presentations.
  • Report to senior management on proposal activities and status.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in bid management and delivering complex proposals under tight timelines.
  • Good understanding of proposal processes and key principles for an international business.
  • Leadership and management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to produce persuasive and compelling proposal text.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Flexibility to work on tight bid deadlines, including evenings and weekends as needed.
