Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Transformation Unit as a Senior Strategic Planning Manager. This is a unique opportunity to drive forward the implementation and delivery of cancer services transformation across Cardiff and Vale UHB and Velindre NHST.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead dedicated planning support for key elements of the service transformation agenda across CAV UHB and with partners across South East Wales.
  • Support the Head of Strategic Planning to continually develop and mature the UHB's approach to strategic planning by providing the necessary skills and experience to meet the long-term strategic goals of the organisation.
  • Successfully manage significant transformation projects within a large complex organisation or system.
  • Develop and implement effective project management plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize business needs and develop solutions to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to senior leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in strategic planning, project management, and business analysis.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex transformation projects and driving business growth and improvement.
  • Strong leadership, influencing, and team building skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
