About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Compliance Assurance Specialist to join our team at Broadgate Search Ltd. As a key member of our Governance and Legal Affairs Directorate, you will play a critical role in supporting our business development and management functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulatory enforcement, and industry standards across our business units, focusing on export controls, GDPR, anti-bribery, competition law, and modern slavery.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Act as the Legal & Compliance representative in monthly Quality meetings, working closely with technical teams to drive compliance across projects.
  • Compliance Procedures and Training: Maintain compliance procedures, deliver training, and manage emerging issues to achieve high standards of compliance and training completion.
  • Audit and Self-Assessment: Successfully complete audits and self-assessments with minimal corrective actions, ensuring our compliance program is robust and effective.
  • Relationship Building and Reporting: Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, promoting and monitoring compliance with key legislation and corporate initiatives through reporting, health checks, and self-assessments.
  • Compliance Impact Assessments and Due Diligence: Support compliance impact assessments (e.g., DPIA/ECIAs) and third-party due diligence, conducting compliance audits and advising business units on compliance obligations.
  • Compliance Violations and Updates: Report compliance violations and updates to relevant authorities and teams, ensuring timely and effective action is taken.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience: Strong knowledge of legal and regulatory compliance frameworks, including export controls, data protection, and competition law, with experience in developing compliance frameworks in regulated industries.
  • Stakeholder Management and Communication: Ability to manage stakeholders in demanding environments, handle multiple priorities, and communicate effectively with technical teams and business units.
  • Organizational and Technical Skills: Organized, adaptable, with strong commercial awareness, and proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
