Location: West London

Job Type: Fixed-term contract until end of June 2025

Salary: £40k pro rata

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 4.00pm

Hybrid Working: Monday to Wednesday in the office, Thursday and Friday working from home

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Certification Specialist to join our team at Red Personnel. As a Certification Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet regulatory and safety standards of relevant countries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain product certifications and approvals
  • Develop and manage regulatory submissions with certification bodies
  • Review, manage, and update product compliance files
  • Develop and sustain initiatives within compliance to improve processes and performance
  • Review and understand new and revised product standards, guidelines, directives, and regulations to determine how they might affect product compliance
  • Liaise with all departments, especially Engineering and Production, in support of product compliance with certification requirements
  • Liaise and support affiliates in obtaining EU or UK certification
  • Support external auditors and take the lead role for compliance and certification audits
  • Support customers with certification projects, directly or via certification bodies
  • Comply with all current work instructions within the organisation
  • Comply fully with all current health, safety, and environmental regulations in operation within the company while carrying out your duties

Requirements:

  • Engineering background (non-defined sectors)
  • Comfortable doing audits, will do external product audits with suppliers
  • Knowledge of Quality and Compliance on products
  • Knowledge of product testing is desirable
  • Water knowledge is a desirable
  • Experience in compliance and conformity within an industrial environment or laboratory
  • Experience in product certification and legislations such as CE, REACH, ROSH, SCIP
  • Manufacturing experience, ideally within injection moulding, machining, and Assembly
  • Ability to understand engineering drawings and product specifications
  • Educated to degree level, ideally in Quality, Product Design, or Materials, or equivalent experience
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ideally experienced with SAP
