Role Overview:
As a Certification Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet regulatory and safety standards across various countries. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing and Maintaining Product Certifications: Oversee the entire certification process, from initial submission to final approval, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Developing and Managing Regulatory Submissions: Collaborate with laboratories and certification bodies to develop and submit regulatory documents, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Reviewing and Updating Product Compliance Files: Conduct thorough reviews of product compliance files to ensure accuracy and completeness, and update files as necessary.
- Initiating and Sustaining Compliance Improvements: Identify areas for improvement and implement changes to ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Understanding and Reviewing New Product Standards: Stay up-to-date with new product standards, guidelines, directives, and regulations, and review their impact on our products.
- Liaising with Engineering and Production Departments: Collaborate with Engineering and Production departments to ensure product compliance and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Supporting Affiliates in Obtaining EU or UK Certification: Provide guidance and support to affiliates in obtaining EU or UK certification for their products.
- Leading Compliance and Certification Audits: Conduct audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and identify areas for improvement.
- Assisting Customers with Certification Projects: Provide support to customers in obtaining certification for their products.
- Adhering to Organisational Work Instructions and Health, Safety, and Environmental Regulations: Ensure compliance with all organisational work instructions and health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Key Requirements:
- Engineering Background: A degree in Engineering or a related field is required.
- Comfortable Conducting External Product Audits: Experience in conducting external product audits with suppliers is essential.
- Knowledge of Quality and Compliance on Products: A strong understanding of quality and compliance on products is required.
- Desirable: Knowledge of Product Testing and Water Systems: Knowledge of product testing and water systems is desirable.
- Experience in Compliance and Conformity: Experience in compliance and conformity within an industrial or laboratory environment is essential.
- Familiarity with Product Certification and Legislation: Familiarity with product certification and legislation (CE, REACH, ROSH, SCIP) is required.
- Manufacturing Experience: Manufacturing experience, ideally in injection moulding, machining, and assembly, is desirable.
- Ability to Understand Engineering Drawings and Product Specifications: The ability to understand engineering drawings and product specifications is essential.
- Degree in Quality, Product Design, Materials, or Equivalent Experience: A degree in Quality, Product Design, Materials, or equivalent experience is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Ideally Experienced with SAP: Experience with SAP is desirable.
