Job Title: Stock, Systems and Planning Manager

Iron Mountain's Warehousing and Logistics business unit provides comprehensive storage, distribution, and supply chain management solutions. Our team is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to our customers, and we're seeking a highly skilled Stock, Systems and Planning Manager to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage reports for internal and external use to provide key information on all inventory-related issues.
  • Support and develop customer requirements for all stock-related challenges, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Act as the key link between operations and the wider IT community for WMS and other systems, driving process improvements and enhancing operational efficiencies.
  • Provide analytical support to operations for labour planning, headcount, and productivity, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
  • Support operational decision-making by providing insight and analysis, enabling informed business decisions.
  • Accountable for the delivery of all stock integrity and the management of related KPIs across all contracts, ensuring compliance and quality standards.
  • Develop, with the operations team, best practice and standardisation of all control processes, driving continuous improvement.
  • Responsible for key control measures, including the integrity of the end-user client's stock, to ensure customer service levels are maintained, SLAs are met, and the WMS is accurate at all times.
  • Lead on development of systems to support items, inclusive of user experience, ensuring seamless integration and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Build strong working relationships with all key stakeholders to ensure first-class operational delivery, with a focus on stock integrity and planning accuracy.
  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all stock-related performance issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
  • Deliver a culture of efficiency and continuous improvement by utilising the most appropriate methodology on a consistent basis, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Enable audit governance to ensure adherence to specific regulatory body standards and client standards as required from time to time, maintaining compliance and quality standards.
  • Ability to create detailed and trend analysis that identify root cause and resolution through Root Cause and Corrective Action principles, driving business improvement and excellence.
  • Design and implement action plans that increase quality, inventory accuracy, and quality of service to meet customer requirements and with the ability to upscale and adapt to increased customer demand.
  • Develop and deliver the inventory strategy, and the standardisation and implementation of robust processes, ensuring all inventory policies and practices are adhered to and adopted throughout the W+L business.
  • Oversee customer stock takes and audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Will be required to facilitate, coach, and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve stock management objectives, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Communicate and liaise with other departments to ensure a smooth and effective customer experience, maintaining high standards of service.
  • Lead customer review meetings and participate in tenders/presentations, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Proactively seek opportunities for business improvements within contracts, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Must be able to demonstrate a proactive and positive approach in supporting operations, driving business growth and excellence.
  • Ability to travel to other sites in the W+L network and provide support as required, ensuring seamless integration and effective solutions.
  • Proactively lead the Inventory Management team to achieve planned targets and deadlines, objectively measuring performance, providing regular reviews, feedback, and coaching within a successful 'can-do' culture.
  • Actively manage the team's success and development through appraisals and performance reviews, coaching, and developing, leading a high-performing team and creating succession plans.
Requirements:
  • Experience of working with Manhattan WMS is strongly desirable - other WMS experience essential.
  • Third-party logistics experience desirable.
  • Strong data analysis skills - and the ability to quickly assess raw data and create reports.
  • Clear, simple, and respectful communication in both verbal and written form.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate at all levels.
  • Critical thinking skills, being able to analyse datasets and establish conclusions that allow the right decisions to be made.
  • Commitment to providing customers with the highest standards of service in an appropriately timely manner.
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate with and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the client's organisation.
