**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning Editor to join our team at Redwood. As a Commissioning Editor, you will play a key role in supporting the development of high-quality content for our publications.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Conduct thorough research to identify key topics, authors, and papers for commissioning purposes.
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to brief editors and the journal development team on commissioning activities.
  • Attend meetings to conduct commissioning activities and collaborate with editorial teams.
  • Monitor the publishing landscape to stay up-to-date on industry trends and competitor journals.

**Requirements**

  • A life science degree or relevant experience in journal publishing.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills to manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong project management skills to work effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Desirable: experience in journal development or commissioning, and knowledge of scholarly communications.
