Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operational Excellence Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Operational Strategies: Identify and implement operational strategies that maximize asset output, ensure compliance with health and safety, quality, and environmental policies, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Lead the Operations Team: Lead and motivate the operations team to achieve and exceed productivity, operating cost, customer service, and quality target levels.
  • Culture of Continuous Improvement: Develop and embed a culture of continuous improvement through team-working, identifying areas for improvement, and driving opportunities to reduce and eliminate waste.
  • Workforce Management: Recruit, engage, train, and develop the site team, managing its performance and reward, to maintain an effective workforce capable of meeting its current and projected objectives.
  • Asset Management: Ensure all assets/machinery are maintained and operate at their optimum capability.
  • Financial Planning: Formulate and agree annual operational and financial budgets that secure the resources necessary to achieve agreed workloads at optimum cost base.
Essential Skills and Qualifications
  • Health and Safety Qualification: Possess a health and safety qualification, preferably NEBOSH.
  • Operational Leadership: Demonstrate experience of leading an operational function with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Strategic Influence: Experience of operating and influencing at a strategic level.
  • Relationship Management: Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate, and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Budget Management: Experience of managing budgets.
  • Resilience and Motivation: Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
