At Smith+Nephew, we strive to push the boundaries of innovation and excellence in medical technology. We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as an Operational Excellence Engineer, responsible for driving our Operational Excellence (OpEx) roadmap across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of the OpEx Roadmap through deployment, development, and training of systems and culture across the factory.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements, leveraging tools such as Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen Problem Solving, and Change Management.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure OpEx progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Facilitate Kaizen workshops and training sessions to promote a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in continuous improvement and manufacturing environments.
  • Strong background in process improvement methodologies, including SMED, VSM/VSD, 5S, and Kaizen.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to drive change and implement process improvements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
