This multifaceted role encompasses a variety of business analytics and support responsibilities, providing extensive exposure to the operational dynamics of a B2B scale-up enterprise. A significant portion of the role will focus on sales and marketing operations, ensuring a seamless flow of information between the commercial team and management for financial reporting, analysis, and strategic planning, alongside offering general business support. Additionally, the role will involve ownership of specific processes in support of core finance, risk, and operations activities, with opportunities to engage in strategic change and business management projects as they arise.

The ability to communicate effectively and logically structure problems and solutions is crucial; proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is highly advantageous.

Scope of Responsibilities

Revenue Operations:

  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze data from sales and marketing systems (e.g., MQL, SQL pipeline, funnel, and conversion analysis) to generate actionable insights or inform management decisions.
  • Identify and address gaps in the sales and marketing processes and metrics to maximize the value of the CRM and other key data sources.
  • Develop and maintain regular reporting and dashboards for sales and marketing activities.
  • Provide general business support related to sales and marketing initiatives, including setting up sales and marketing platforms (e.g., to organize and execute sales campaigns), managing marketing content and logistics (e.g., for events, webinars), and facilitating smooth communication and coordination between various teams to achieve commercial objectives.

Core Risk, Operations, and Finance:

  • Infuse a sales and marketing perspective into core risk, operations, and finance discussions and planning.
  • Assist the Financial Controller in financial analysis and reporting, particularly concerning commercial activities, investments, and returns.
  • Support the Risk & Operations Manager in maintaining essential risk and legal resources related to commercial activities.
  • Provide additional support for operations and finance processes, including oversight and tracking of company supplier relationships, payments, and cost allocations.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 2 to 3 years of experience in Operations and/or Revenue.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to comprehend, organize, and articulate thoughts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
  • Numeracy and confidence in interpreting and utilizing data to support business decisions.
  • A structured and logical approach to problem-solving and time management, ensuring activities and deliverables are consistently planned, executed, and documented.
  • Ability and confidence to operate at all levels of the organization and proactively support various teams, both face-to-face and virtually.
  • Self-motivated learner willing to embrace new and potentially unfamiliar tasks.
  • Adaptability and commitment to achieving 'the art of the possible.'
  • Passion for working in a start-up environment and embracing the start-up culture.
  • Experience with PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Interest in business analysis, technology, and fintech is beneficial.
