Position Overview
Priory Medical Group is seeking a dedicated Healthcare Administrative Assistant to join our dynamic Reception and Administration Team. This role is essential in providing comprehensive support to our multidisciplinary team and ensuring the smooth operation of our administrative functions.
Work Schedule
The position is part-time, with flexible working hours available. The successful candidate will be expected to work 2-3 days per week, with the ability to cover for colleagues during absences.
Key Responsibilities
- Compose and format patient referral letters, correspondence, and reports for external organizations.
- Digitally archive letters and documents into the electronic record system.
- Prepare and manage private correspondence for patients and healthcare providers.
- Draft internal reports and documentation as required.
- Record minutes during practice meetings and ensure timely distribution.
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to a team of healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with service providers and other agencies via phone.
- Handle incoming telephone inquiries, resolving issues or directing calls as necessary.
- Assist with reception duties within the administrative team as needed.
- Oversee the management of the administrative email account.
- Ensure efficient workflow within the secretarial team, meeting deadlines for all tasks.
- Collaborate with the Practice Manager to address patient feedback and concerns.
- Contribute to a cohesive team environment within a small administrative group.
- Perform any additional tasks as assigned that align with the role.

Qualifications
Essential:
- Proficient in English and Mathematics (or equivalent qualifications).
- Demonstrated typing proficiency and relevant secretarial experience.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Competent in using computer systems and software.
Desirable:
- Experience in a healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology.
- Knowledge of clinical systems.
