We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team at Springwell Leeds Academy. As a key member of our staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional education and care for our vulnerable students.

Job Summary

We require a creative and passionate HLTA to work at our North Site, providing bespoke provision for a small number of students in our Primary phase. You will have the opportunity to deliver core and personal learning curriculum, as well as targeted interventions and play-based learning opportunities to develop social skills and emotional regulation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support students with complex needs, including Autism and ADHD, in a classroom setting and 1:1 capacity
  • Work closely with a small team of staff to provide tailored support and interventions to widen engagement in a classroom setting
  • Develop and implement creative and imaginative learning opportunities to engage students
  • Collaborate with parents and a wider team of professionals to provide a holistic approach to student support
Requirements
  • Proven track record of supporting vulnerable pupils with social, emotional and mental health difficulties (SEMH)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, empathy, and a positive attitude
  • Ability to be creative and use imaginative flair to engage students
  • Resilience, drive, and high expectations to inspire students to achieve
