Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at Brook Street Social Care. As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting and guiding young people aged 10 to 18 who are in secure accommodation. Your primary responsibility will be to provide 1:1 support for young people with additional learning needs across the curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support for young people with additional learning needs across the curriculum.
  • Lead a team of care practitioners to support the daily lives of young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Actively engage with and mentor young people, helping them develop both academically and personally.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with challenging behaviour in a residential or educational environment.
  • A Level 4 qualification in education delivery (or commitment to achieve it).
  • A solid understanding of child and adolescent development, child protection, and safeguarding policies.
