Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our team. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the needs of pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Develop and implement strategies to support pupils with moderate learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorder, and behavioural and emotional difficulties
  • Assist with intervention groups and provide additional support to pupils in Maths and Literacy
  • Contribute to the development of resources and materials to support teaching and learning

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience
  • Experience of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs
  • Strong behaviour management skills and ability to work with pupils with challenging behaviour
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
