Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support and guide young people aged 10 to 18 in a secure accommodation setting. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in helping them grow, develop, and make positive life changes.

About the Role:

  • Provide 1:1 support for young people with additional learning needs across the curriculum.
  • Lead a team of care practitioners to support the daily lives of young people with complex needs and challenging behaviours.
  • Actively engage with and mentor young people, helping them develop both academically and personally.

Requirements:

  • Enthusiastic, adaptable, and experienced candidates who can build strong, supportive relationships with vulnerable young people.
  • Strong IT skills (MS Office, email, internet, and database programmes).
  • Experience working with challenging behaviour in a residential or educational environment.
  • A Level 4 qualification in education delivery (or commitment to achieve it).
  • A solid understanding of child and adolescent development, child protection, and safeguarding policies.
