Are you a seasoned professional in the field of inventory operations? Amazon TA is on the lookout for a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to assume the role of Lead Inventory Operations Manager.


In this capacity, you will be instrumental in defining the worldwide approach to inventory operations within the Central Reliability Maintenance Engineering (RME) Decision Science and Technology (DST) team.

This role transcends conventional inventory oversight and demands a specialist who can transform and enhance how Amazon RME administers inventory on a global level.

Your responsibilities will extend beyond mere stock management; you will spearhead initiatives aimed at refining processes, such as improving parts tracking and streamlining the claims process with suppliers during equipment malfunctions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with colleagues to formulate and implement a comprehensive global strategy for inventory operations.
  • Conduct research projects, perform data analysis, and interpret reports to uncover opportunities, enhance processes, and enact improvements.
  • Lead and advocate for intricate, cross-functional process enhancement projects.
  • Define and execute process improvement initiatives focused on optimizing existing inventory management standards and practices.
  • Support warranty and repair initiatives to enhance the process of managing repairs and claims with suppliers in cases of failures or quality concerns.
  • Identify and establish success metrics to oversee the execution of inventory management strategies.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed, data-driven business reviews to senior leadership.
  • Facilitate communication between DST and RME, as well as Operations senior management.

Required Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical capabilities with proficiency in data interpretation and manipulation (e.g., experience with Pivot tables, Macros, and knowledge of SQL).
  • Significant experience in a role focused on inventory operations.
  • Proven ability to lead comprehensive projects, programs, or process improvement efforts.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field, operations, business administration, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in reliability engineering and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Recognized expertise in equipment design and the layout of mechanical handling, conveyance, and packaging systems.
  • A Master's degree in a technical field, operations, business administration, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
