Job Title: Academies Director

We are seeking an exceptional individual to lead the strategic development of our school's Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) provision. As Academies Director, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of our SEND policy, with the aim of raising student achievement and ensuring they access appropriate destinations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the school meets all legal obligations under the SEND Code of Practice
  • Review and update the SEND Policy regularly, working with the SLT and SEND link governor
  • Provide strategic leadership for the SEND provision, driving improvement and innovation
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure inclusive education practices
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to support students with SEND
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
  • Established and evidenced practice with children with a variety of SEND
  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders
