Job Overview

King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is a leading teaching hospital in the UK, providing high-quality care to patients from diverse backgrounds. We are seeking an experienced Paediatric Emergency Department Nurse to join our team as a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse.

The successful candidate will have significant post-qualification experience in an Emergency Department and sound clinical knowledge to work in all areas of the Paediatric Emergency Department. As a Junior Sister / Charge Nurse, you will take charge of shifts within the Paediatric Department and support your band 7 team leader in managing your team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the teaching and supervision of junior staff and student nurses.
  • Provide high-quality nursing care to patients and relatives.
  • Work within nursing and multidisciplinary teams to provide evidence-based, holistic care.
  • Observe the rules, policies, and standards of King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • 1st level Registered Paediatric Nurse qualification.
  • Mentorship programme or equivalent teaching qualification.
