Job Title: Paediatric Pharmacist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Pharmacist to join our team at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing clinical pharmacy services to our Inpatient and Daycare Haematology/Oncology/BMT wards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver a clinical pharmacy service to the Inpatient and Daycare Haematology/Oncology/BMT wards, including screening chemotherapy and its supportive care as required.
  • Lead, support, and develop junior pharmacists and pre-registration pharmacists in the rotation by acting as a role model or section manager.
  • Support the pharmacists working within the cytotoxic unit with prescription screening, worksheet generation, and final release of products as required.
  • Participate in departmental and multidisciplinary audit/research activities to ensure that cost-improvement and quality targets are met.

Requirements:
  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council
  • Post-graduate Diploma (or working towards) in Pharmacy Practice or equivalent
  • Experience providing a clinical service in Haematology/Oncology
  • Policy and service development
  • Experience acting as tutor/supervisor for clinical pharmacy certificate/diploma students or pre-registration pharmacists
  • Experience working with international and private patients
