Job Title: Specialist Pharmacist in Paediatric Cancer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated pharmacist to join our team in the Paediatric Cancer Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust. As a specialist pharmacist, you will play a key role in providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to inpatient and outpatient wards.

Main Responsibilities:
  • To work closely with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive clinical pharmacy services to patients with cancer and blood disorders.
  • To monitor prescribing practices and provide feedback and recommendations to improve standards and guidelines.
  • To participate in the teaching and training of foundation year pharmacists, postgraduate pharmacists, nurses, and medical staff.
  • To participate in departmental and multidisciplinary audit/research activities to ensure that cost improvement and quality targets are met.
  • To comply with all Trust and Departmental policies and procedures, work safely and efficiently.
Requirements:
  • Experience in paediatric cancer and/or haematology.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to teach and train others.
